SQUARE DANCE MANUAL
"Publication Honorable Mention" MSU Glitch | "Best Use of Typography" Senior Exhibition
Square Dance Manual for Teachers and Callers was originally written in the early 1960's. The book was written to help square dancing teachers learn different calls and dance steps to relay to their students.
While it holds valuable and traditional information, the manual was dull and outdated. It needs a facelift to bring into teaching the next generation of square dancing callers and teachers.
This newly designed edition of the book brings in bright colors and simple illustrations for easy and fun reading. It sets the mood for square dance teaching with it's country charm. The design pays homage to it's classic letterpress roots inspired by Hatch Show Prints, known for paving the way in country design.
